Matthew Farrow, Executive Director
The Environmental Industries Commission (EIC)
Matthew is Executive Director at the Environmental Industries Commission - with overall responsibility for leading the EIC and ensuring its effectiveness as the lead trade body for UK environmental businesses.
A large part of his role involves bolstering lobbying efforts and driving the industry’s representation with government, regulators and the wider policy-making community. After graduating from the University of Cambridge with a BA (Hons) in history, Matthew spent 20 years working at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI); holding positions as both Head of Energy and Environment, and Head of Transport and Planning. After his stint at CBI, Matthew became Director of Policy at the Environmental Services Association (ESA); where he was responsible for all ESA’s policy and lobbying work in the waste sector.”
